Gorgor High School: Head Teacher: Mr Mathew Korir

Gorgor High School was founded in 1981 and registered in 1983 as an "Harambee" (Swahili for partnership) School.

The school is situated on a 2 acre plot near Gorgor market, approximately 32km from Sotik town. It is in Ndanai division of Abosi sublocation. The foundation of the school is based on Christian Principles and has a student polulation of 254.

There are 15 male teachers and two female teachers and 12 support staff.The subjects in the curriculum include Maths, English, Kiswahili, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Commerce, History, Social Studies and PE.

The school is managed by a Board of Governors and the Parents Teachers Association both headed by independent chairpersons.
The school "Motto" is 'HARD WORK PAYS'
